Magical cake with creamy custard layer separates into 3 delicious layers when baked.
Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs at room temperature, separated
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups lukewarm milk
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and generously grease an 8-inch baking dish.
  • Whisk egg whites in a big bowl with an electric mixer until they form stiff peaks.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks and white sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer for about 2 minutes. Mix in butter and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in flour and slowly beat in milk. Carefully fold in egg whites into the batter.
  • Transfer the batter into the greased baking dish.
  • Bake until the top is golden, for 45 to 70 minutes in a preheated oven. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes, then sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
