Make irresistible chocolate-covered wands that vanish quickly!
Ingredients:
  • 125g butter, at room temperature, chopped
  • 100g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 190g (1 1/4 cups) plain flour
  • 375g pkt milk chocolate melts, melted
  • Yellow sprinkles, to decorate
  • 375g pkt white chocolate melts, melted
  • Hundreds and thousands, to decorate
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C. Prepare 3 baking trays with baking paper. In a large bowl, use an electric beater to whip together butter, sugar, and vanilla until pale and creamy. Add the egg and mix until combined. Fold in the flour until fully incorporated.
  • Roll 3 teaspoons of dough into a 20cm-long log on a lightly floured surface, then transfer to the prepared tray. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
  • Bake 2 trays for 10-12 minutes, swapping halfway through, until pale golden. Let cool completely on trays before repeating with the remaining tray.
  • Dip half of 1 wand in milk chocolate, let excess drip off, sprinkle with yellow sprinkles over a plate, then place on a lined tray. Repeat with half of the remaining wands. Allow to set for 30 minutes.
  • Continue the process with the rest of the pretzel rods, white chocolate, and rainbow sprinkles.
