Overnight steel-cut oats with raisins, walnuts, and spices - a delicious and convenient breakfast option!
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.25 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup milk
Instructions:
  • In a pot, bring water and salt to a boil. Add oats, stir, and bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until water is absorbed, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Take the oats off the heat and quickly mix in walnuts and raisins. Add agave nectar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon, and stir well.
  • Divide the oat mixture evenly among 4 bowls. Cover and let it chill in the refrigerator overnight, for up to 5 days.
  • Prior to cooking, incorporate 2 tablespoons of milk into each serving. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, remembering to stir halfway through the heating process.
