Malted milk funfetti bars with crispy edges, gooey centers, and a delightful blend of flavors - a simple and delicious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 4 ounces full fat cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 egg, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup malted milk powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup rainbow jimmie sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line an 8x8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on all sides.
  • Combine cream cheese, brown sugar, and melted butter in a large bowl and beat until smooth. Mix in egg, vanilla, and almond extract until combined. Add flour, malted milk powder, salt, and baking soda, stirring until just incorporated. Gently fold in white chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  • Evenly distribute the batter in the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the oven until the bars are golden and just set, for 25 to 30 minutes. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment overhang. Cut into 16 bars.
