Indulge in a creamy, fresh mango sorbet - a perfect cool and fruity delight for summer.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 ripe mangos (about 2 1/2 pounds)
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons tequila, rum, or vodka (optional) OR 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
Instructions:
  • Create a delectable simple syrup by heating sugar, salt, and water in a saucepan until fully dissolved. Allow it to cool.
  • Prepare the mangoes by peeling them with a vegetable peeler. Remove the flesh from the seed in the center. Discard the seed and peel, then roughly chop the mango flesh. You should end up with approximately 3 1/2 to 4 cups of chopped mango.
  • Combine the mango, simple syrup, and lime juice in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Chill: Transfer to a medium bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until fully chilled.
  • Once the lime mango purée is chilled and ready, stir in the tequila, rum, vodka (if using), or corn syrup. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to process the mixture in the ice cream maker.
  • Chill until solid: Pour the mixture into a plastic storage container and freeze until solid, for a minimum of 6 hours. If you enjoyed the recipe, please consider rating it and leaving a comment!
