Impress all with a stunning pink and white marble cake that will please both kids and adults alike.
Ingredients:
  • 250g butter, softened
  • 268.75 gm caster sugar
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 337.50 gm self-raising cake, biscuit and pastry flour
  • 193.13 gm milk
  • Pink food colouring
  • White chocolate curls, to decorate
  • 150g butter, softened
  • 225.00 gm icing sugar mixture
  • Yellow food colouring
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan-forced, then generously grease a 6cm-deep, 22cm round cake pan and line the base and sides with baking paper.
  • With an electric mixer, whip up a delightful mixture of butter, sugar, and vanilla until it's fluffy and light. Gradually add eggs one by one, making sure to beat well after each addition until everything is nicely combined. Then, gently mix in flour and milk in two portions. Transfer half of the batter into a separate medium bowl and add a touch of pink tint.
  • Spoon both mixtures into pan in alternating dollops. Swirl with a skewer for a marble effect, then level top with a spatula. Bake for 1 hour until a skewer comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
  • Prepare the Buttercream icing: Beat butter with an electric mixer until fluffy. Gradually mix in icing sugar and milk until well combined. Add yellow food coloring for a vibrant hue.
  • Transfer the cake to a beautiful serving plate. Generously frost the cake with luscious buttercream icing, making sure to cover the top and sides completely. Finish by elegantly decorating with delicate chocolate curls. Ready to serve and impress!
