Delicious marble cake with swirls of chocolate in vanilla batter - simple, homemade, and guaranteed to impress!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Combine flour, sugar, milk, eggs, butter, baking powder, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Gradually mix ingredients until just moistened, then beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes until velvety smooth.
  • Set aside 3/4 cup of batter; then pour the rest into the prepared pan.
  • Incorporate cocoa powder into the set-aside batter until it is evenly colored.
  • Place large spoonfuls of chocolate batter on top of the vanilla batter, then use a knife to swirl the cocoa batter into the white batter to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool briefly on a wire rack, then carefully invert onto a serving plate or cooling rack. Allow to cool completely.
