Indulge in a decadent three-flavor marble cake with chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry swirls.
Ingredients:
  • Melted butter, to grease
  • 250g butter, at room temperature
  • 215g (1 cup) caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 300g (2 cups) self-raising flour
  • 125g (1/2 cup) sour cream
  • 2-3 drops pink liquid food colouring
  • 20.00 gm cocoa powder
  • 20.60 gm milk
  • Mixed lollies (such as Smarties, M&Ms, jelly beans and mints), to decorate
  • 125g butter, at room temperature
  • 41.20 gm milk
  • 230g (1 1/2 cups) icing sugar mixture
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a round 20cm cake pan with melted butter and line it with non-stick baking paper on the base and sides.
  • Using an electric beater, combine butter, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until pale and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in half of the flour until just combined. Stir in sour cream and remaining flour in batches until just combined. Divide the batter into 3 bowls. Add pink food coloring to one bowl and cocoa powder mixed with milk to another.
  • In the prepared pan, layer the 3 batters and swirl them together with a spoon for a marble effect. Smooth the surface with the back of a spoon. Bake for 1 hour or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the center. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • In a bowl, cream the butter with electric beaters until pale. Mix in the milk and icing sugar until well combined.
  • Transfer the cake onto a cake stand, then generously spread frosting over it and adorn it with colorful lollies for a festive touch.
