Indulge in a rich cup of cocoa topped with marshmallow truffles for a deliciously warming treat on chilly nights.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup whipping cream
  • Dash salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Miniature marshmallows
  • Hot milk
Instructions:
  • Lightly coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and then line it with parchment paper, leaving some extra paper to hang over the edges of the pan.
  • Place the chocolate chips in a medium heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan, heat the cream until bubbles start forming around the edge (do not bring to a boil).
  • Pour hot, creamy goodness over a mountain of chocolate chips in a bowl. Cover and let it mingle for about 5 minutes. Whip it all together until velvety smooth. Spread this chocolaty goodness in a loaf pan, then go wild and dot with as many fluffy marshmallows as your heart desires. Let it chill in the fridge for at least 5 hours or, better yet, overnight until it's firm enough to slice into irresistible treats.
  • Slice truffle into neat rectangles using a sharp knife.
  • In each mug, combine approximately 3/4 cup of hot milk with a desired amount of truffles to create your ideal hot chocolate.
