Indulge in a festive maple rum pumpkin pie to elevate your Thanksgiving meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15 ounce) package 10-inch pie crusts
  • 1 (28 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2.5 teaspoons maple-flavored extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum-flavored extract
  • 1.3333333730698 cups maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 cups evaporated milk
  • 6 large eggs
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare 2 deep-dish pie plates by lining them with crusts.
  • In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, maple extract, rum extract, and salt until fully mixed. Add in maple syrup, sprinkle flour over the mixture, pour in evaporated milk, and stir until well blended.
  • In a medium bowl, vigorously whisk eggs for 1 to 2 minutes. Gently stir the eggs into the pumpkin mixture. Pour the luscious filling into the pie crusts.
  • Bake in the center of the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the centers are set and no longer jiggle. Let it cool completely before serving.
