Meat pie sausage rolls recipe

Savory mini sausage rolls with the rich taste of a traditional beef pie, perfect for all ages.
Ingredients:
  • 9.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 500g beef mince
  • 29g packet brown onion and garlic gravy
  • 20.80 gm tomato sauce
  • 24.40 gm Worcestershire sauce
  • 62.50 ml finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 125.00 ml fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed, halved
  • Sesame seeds, to sprinkle
  • Tomato sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Saute onion until golden brown and softened, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Combine the mince, gravy mix, sauces, parsley, breadcrumbs, and onion in a large bowl. Use your hands to mix until fully combined.
  • Preheat your oven to 220C/200C fan-forced and prepare two baking trays by lining them with baking paper.
  • Spread a quarter of the filling along one long side of one pastry half. Roll up the pastry to enclose the filling, then cut it into 4 pieces. Place the pieces seam-side down on prepared trays, repeat with remaining filling and pastry. Brush with egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until pastry is golden and puffed. Serve with tomato sauce.
