"Juicy pork back ribs coated in a flavorful paprika rub are slow smoked for 5 1/2 hours until perfectly tender."
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound pork back ribs, membrane removed
  • apple wood chips, soaked
  • 0.5 cup barbeque sauce, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat smoker to a gentle 225 degrees F (110 degrees C).
  • Combine paprika, chili powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Massage the seasoning mixture onto both sides of the ribs. Arrange the ribs, bone-side down, on a wire rack.
  • Position the rack in the smoker that has been preheated. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to add apple wood chips. Smoke the ribs until the meat pulls away from the bones, for approximately 5 1/2 hours.
  • Take the ribs out of the smoker and generously coat them with barbecue sauce. Securely wrap them in aluminum foil and allow them to rest for 30 minutes.
