Decadent and buttery shortbread with just 4 simple pantry staples. Easy and irresistible.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 0.25 cup cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the butter until it's light and fluffy. Mix in flour, confectioners' sugar, and cornstarch on low for 1 minute, then increase to high for 3 to 4 minutes. Spoon the dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges turn golden. Allow the cookies to cool briefly on the baking sheets before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
