Spicy slow cooker Mexican hamburger dip with green chiles and jalapeños.
Ingredients:
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 (2 pound) loaf processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®), cut into cubes
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans chopped green chilies
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon diced jalapeno peppers
Instructions:
  • In a hot skillet, sauté ground beef and onion until beef is fully cooked and crumbly, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Season the hamburger mixture generously with taco seasoning. Mix in water and bring to a simmer; cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cheese cubes to the slow cooker, then top with the hamburger mixture, green chiles, tomato sauce, and jalapeño peppers.
  • Simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and silky, which should take around 45 minutes.
