Spiced chocolate coffee with a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients:
  • 12 cups water
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 cup regular-grind coffee (dry)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate-flavor syrup
  • Whipped cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a Dutch oven, bring water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves to a boil, making sure to stir until sugar is dissolved. Add coffee, then lower heat to medium-low. Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in rich chocolate syrup and fragrant vanilla, then remove from the heat. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes to let the coffee grounds settle. Strain the aromatic coffee into a coffee server or individual cups, and discard the grounds mixture. Top it off with a dollop of creamy whipped cream before serving.
