Impress your guests with easy and delicious Mexican cookies using Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix. Perfect for adding to a cookie platter or enjoying with coffee.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon anise seed
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine sugar and 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, egg, anise seed, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms. Roll the dough into 30 (1-inch) balls and coat them with cinnamon-sugar. Place the balls 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake until lightly golden brown around the edges, usually 9 to 12 minutes. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then transfer from the baking sheet to a cooling rack.
