Bake a batch of 36 soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies with a secret ingredient - vanilla pudding mix.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup margarine, softened
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and whisk together the flour and baking soda in a bowl.
  • Combine butter, margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, and instant pudding mix in a large bowl, mashing together until thoroughly blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gradually mix in flour, then stir in chocolate chips. Dough will be thick.
  • Spoon tablespoon-sized dollops of cookie dough onto a nonstick baking sheet, leaving 2 inches of space between each; gently press down to slightly flatten the cookies.
  • Bake in the oven until lightly golden and slightly soft on top, 8 to 10 minutes. Be careful not to overbake. Let cool for 1 minute on the baking sheets before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
