Make cute mini turkey brownies for a fun Thanksgiving activity with kids. Crowd favorite guaranteed!
Ingredients:
  • nonstick cooking spray (such as BakeEasy®)
  • 0.25 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1.5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 24 candy eyeballs
  • 12 red candy-coated chocolate pieces (such as M&M's®)
  • 60 candy corn, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously coat a 12-cup mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla, mix thoroughly. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture into the butter mixture until smooth. Divide the batter evenly into the muffin cups.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 14 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool for another 20 minutes.
  • Prepare the frosting by blending butter, cocoa powder, and milk in a bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. Slowly incorporate powdered sugar and continue mixing until the frosting is smooth and fluffy.
  • Fill a piping bag with frosting and attach a Wilton #10 tip. Create a frosting circle at the bottom of each mini brownie for the turkey's head. Attach 2 candy eyes and a red chocolate piece for the beak. Pipe 5 lines in a semi-circle above the head and place a candy corn on each line for feathers.
