Satisfying miso-maple glaze with rice vinegar and a hint of heat, elevating any dish effortlessly.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 tablespoons yellow miso paste
  • 1.5 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1.5 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon hot chili sauce (such as Sriracha®)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 (6 ounce) center-cut salmon fillets, with skin
Instructions:
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler.
  • Combine savory miso paste, tangy seasoned rice vinegar, sweet maple syrup, and spicy hot chili sauce in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Coat a skillet with vegetable oil to prep for the oven.
  • Lay the salmon fillets skin side down in a cold skillet. Cook over medium heat until the skin begins to sizzle, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove skillet from heat.
  • Coat the salmon fillets generously with the savory miso glaze. Broil in a preheated skillet until the salmon is perfectly cooked through and the top caramelizes, approximately 8 minutes.
  • Remove the fillets from the pan by carefully separating the flesh from the skin, and keep the skin in the pan.
