Delicious and easy Japanese miso salmon, perfect for home cooking. Pair with rice and salad for a restaurant-worthy meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (1 1/2-pound) salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 1 cup miso paste
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup prepared soy-ginger salad dressing
  • 0.25 cup sake
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Fill a large skillet with 1 inch of boiling water. Poach fish for 2 minutes per side until just cooked on the outside. Transfer fillets to a broiler pan.
  • Combine miso paste, brown sugar, salad dressing, sake, water, rice vinegar, sesame seeds and sesame oil in a small bowl. Coat the tops of the salmon fillets with the mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until nearly cooked through for approximately 15 minutes. Then, switch the oven to broil and continue cooking until the top is golden brown and bubbly for about 5 minutes. Cut the fillets into portions before serving.
