Cozy winter dessert perfect for any occasion, simple yet festive.
Ingredients:
  • 10 oz day-old Italian or French bread, torn into pieces (about 8 cups)
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coffee-flavored liqueur or cold brewed coffee
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup caramel ice cream topping, heated
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F. Grease a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. Combine bread pieces, dates, nuts, coconut, and cinnamon in the pan, stirring gently.
  • Combine butter, sugar, and liqueur in a large bowl. Mix until well combined. Add eggs and stir until blended. Mix in half-and-half and milk. Pour this mixture over the bread in the pan and toss to combine. Allow it to sit for 10 to 15 minutes until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until fully cooked. Enjoy warm bread pudding drizzled with luscious caramel sauce. Remember to refrigerate any leftovers.
