Creamy stuffed mushrooms with garlic, Parmesan, and a hint of cayenne - an irresistible appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 12 whole fresh mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Wipe mushrooms clean using a damp paper towel, then finely chop the stems, discarding the tough ends.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté garlic and chopped mushroom stems in oil until all moisture evaporates, being careful not to burn the garlic. Allow it to cool before using.
  • Combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne until thick. Stuff each mushroom generously using a teaspoon and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the mushrooms in the preheated oven until they are piping hot, for about 20 minutes.
