Quick and easy 5-ingredient mushroom rice pilaf - perfect side for pork chops.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.75 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed beef consomme
  • 1 (7 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces
  • 1.25 cups instant white rice (such as Minute®)
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Saute onion until soft and golden brown, 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Combine the consomme and mushrooms in the pot and bring to a boil.
  • Take the pan off the heat and gently mix in the rice. Cover the pan and allow the rice to soak up all the liquid, approximately 5 minutes.
