Elevate broccoli salad with sweet raisins, crunchy sunflower seeds, and smoky bacon.
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 0.25 red onion, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped cremini mushrooms
  • 0.25 cup sunflower seed kernels
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Cook the bacon in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the cooked bacon on a paper towel-lined plate and crumble it.
  • Toss together broccoli, red onion, raisins, mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and crumbled bacon in a large bowl.
  • Combine creamy mayonnaise, sweet sugar, tangy vinegar, a pinch of salt, and a dash of black pepper in a bowl, stirring until the flavors unite harmoniously.
  • Drizzle the creamy mayonnaise mixture over the fresh vegetables and toss until fully coated.
