Indulgent cake soaked in sweet milk, topped with fluffy strawberry cream and fresh berries - reminiscent of a strawberry milkshake!
Ingredients:
  • 107.50 gm caster sugar
  • 170g self-raising flour, sifted
  • 257.50 gm milk
  • 187.50 ml evaporated milk
  • 161.25 gm sweetened condensed milk
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 187.50 ml Nestlé Nesquik Strawberry milk powder
  • 250g fresh strawberries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 175C/155C fan forced. Grease a 20cm springform cake pan and line both the base and sides with baking paper.
  • In a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, beat the eggs and sugar on medium-high speed until pale and thick, for about 10-15 minutes. Mix in the vanilla. Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before serving.
  • In a jug, mix together the milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk. Next, use a skewer to poke holes all over the cake, then gently pour the milk mixture over the cake. Cover the cake and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight to allow it to soak.
  • Whip the cream and Nesquik in a bowl using a stand mixer with the whisk attachment until stiff peaks form for the milkshake topping.
  • Prepare the strawberries by hulling and halving them. Carefully release the clip on the pan and transfer the cake onto a plate using parchment paper. Generously dollop the milkshake topping over the cake before elegantly decorating it with the prepared strawberries. For an extra touch of sweetness, lightly dust the cake with icing sugar, if desired.
