Bake fluffy, tender brown rice in the oven for a convenient side dish while you cook your main course.
Ingredients:
  • 1.6666667461395 cups uncooked brown rice
  • 2.5 cups boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x9 baking dish.
  • Spread a layer of rice in the baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and oil. Pour boiling water over the rice and cover the dish tightly with a double layer of aluminum foil, sealing the edges by pinching them together.
  • Bake in the center of a preheated oven for approximately 1 hour until the water is fully absorbed.
  • Uncover the oven-baked rice and gently fluff it with a fork.
