Flavorful tomato paste pasta sauce for two, perfect for spaghetti or lasagna.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.33333334326744 red onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 slice bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • In a small pot over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until onion is soft, about 5 minutes. Add water, tomato paste, sugar, bacon, salt, basil, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes for flavors to meld together.
