Nutritious oat and whole wheat quick bread sweetened with a touch of honey.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Process oatmeal until fine. Mix ground oatmeal with flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, blend honey with vegetable oil, then mix in milk. Combine both mixtures until a soft dough forms. Shape into a ball and put on an oiled baking sheet.
  • Bake in a hot oven for around 20 minutes, or until the bottom of the loaf gives a hollow sound when tapped.
