Make flavorful molasses bread effortlessly in your bread machine, then bake to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1.625 cups water
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons dry milk powder
  • 0.33333334326744 cup molasses
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
  • Add the ingredients to the bread machine following the manufacturer's recommendations. Choose the Dough or White Bread setting, then press Start.
  • If the dough is not forming a ball on the paddle, gradually add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time until a ball forms. Let the machine finish the selected cycle.
  • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Remove the dough from the bread machine pan once the Dough cycle is finished. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in the pan. Allow it to rise until doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure the perfect baking temperature.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the top turns golden brown, approximately 40 minutes. Then, carefully remove the loaf from the pan onto a work surface and tap the bottom gently. If it sounds hollow, the bread is ready.
