Quick and simple cake mix recipe inspired by Grandma's classic.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix or 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/3 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (350°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheets). In a large bowl, combine half of the cake mix, water, peanut butter, butter, and eggs. Use an electric mixer or mix with a spoon until smooth. Then, gently fold in the remaining cake mix.
  • Place rounded tablespoonfuls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Flatten the dough in a crisscross pattern using a sugar-dipped fork.
  • Bake until golden brown, about 9 to 11 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute, then transfer from the baking sheet to a cooling rack. Store covered.
