Elevate classic mac and cheese with creamy one-pan dish featuring apple butter and bacon.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups uncooked medium shell pasta
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded gouda cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Simmer pasta and milk in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat until pasta is tender and most of the milk is absorbed, stirring often. This should take about 15 to 20 minutes. Reduce heat to low if needed.
  • Add a generous amount of shredded cheese, crispy bacon pieces, flavorful apple butter, fragrant rosemary, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper to elevate the flavors. Remove from heat.
  • Allow to sit undisturbed for 5 minutes to reach desired consistency, then gently mix once more right before presenting.
