Elevate dinner with easy one-pan Asian pork chops, paired with crispy Chinese greens and crunchy ginger.
Ingredients:
  • 100g (1/3 cup) hoisin sauce
  • 48.80 gm oyster sauce
  • 20.00 ml black or rice wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2-3 cm piece ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 x 200g pork chops
  • blanched Asian greens, to serve
  • Steamed rice, to serve
  • Sliced red chilli, to serve
  • 82.50 ml fried ginger, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large shallow dish, mix together hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Add pork chops and evenly coat with the mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat a large, heavy-based pan over medium heat and spray with oil. Remove chops from marinade, keeping the marinade aside. Cook pork chops for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until they turn dark golden and become sticky, being careful not to burn them.
  • Place the pork on a plate and cover it with foil to keep it warm and let it rest. In the same pan, pour in the remaining marinade along with 2 tablespoons of water. Simmer and stir for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  • Plate the pork evenly onto serving dishes. Generously drizzle with the flavorful sauce and accompany with steamed greens, rice, sliced chilli, and crispy fried ginger.
