Whip up a delicious open steak sandwich with caramelized onion relish in just 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 4 thin Beef Scotch Fillet Steaks
  • 2.50 gm smoked paprika
  • 2 baby fennel bulbs
  • 4 slices Wholemeal Quinoa Stone Baked Pane di Casa loaf
  • 75g mayonnaise
  • 2 roma tomatoes, thickly sliced
  • 30g baby rocket leaves
  • 110g relish
  • Sweet potato wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill to medium-high heat. Lightly spray the steaks with oil, then season with paprika and salt. Grill the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side for a medium cook or to your preferred doneness. Transfer the steaks to a plate, cover with foil, and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Prepare the fennel bulbs by trimming them, then slice them thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  • Toast the bread until golden brown. Mix mayonnaise and garlic in a small bowl. Spread the toast with the garlic mayonnaise. Layer on the tomato, rocket, fennel, steak, and caramelised onion relish. Enjoy with sweet potato wedges.
