Indulge in a zesty tofu stir-fry with tangy orange sauce over rice noodles and your choice of veggies!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • 0.25 cup cornstarch
  • 1 (16 ounce) package firm tofu, drained and cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup orange juice
  • 0.25 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Heat 1/4 cup oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Coat tofu slices in 1/4 cup cornstarch by pressing them into it. Stir-fry until golden brown all over, about 5 minutes. Drain tofu on paper towels. Let the wok cool down, then wipe it clean.
  • Combine the soy sauce, orange juice, water, sugar, chili paste, and cornstarch in a bowl and mix until smooth.
  • Heat the remaining tablespoon of oil in the wok and stir-fry the carrots until tender. Create a well in the center of the carrots, pour in the sauce, and bring it to a boil. Add the tofu to the wok and cook until coated with the sauce.
