Whip up indulgent orange chocolate chili mug cakes in just 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 150g self-raising flour
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 75g brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground chilli
  • 65g chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp grated orange rind
  • 250ml vegetable oil
  • 180ml milk
  • 60ml orange juice
  • Orange slices, to serve
  • Ice-cream, to serve
  • Chocolate sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, chili, and chocolate. Create a well in the center. In a separate jug, combine orange rind, oil, milk, and orange juice. Whisk until smooth. Pour the orange mixture into the well of the flour mixture and whisk until fully combined.
  • Spoon the mixture evenly into four 1 1/3-cup (330ml) microwave-safe mugs.
  • Arrange the mugs around the outer edge of the microwave plate. Microwave on high (100%) for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Continue microwaving on high (100%) for an additional 30 seconds. Repeat this process until the mug cakes have puffed up and the tops spring back when touched. This should take approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds in total.
  • Top the mug cakes with additional orange slices, a scoop of ice cream, and a generous drizzle of chocolate sauce for the perfect finishing touch.
