Tangy cranberry sauce with orange zest and juice for a zesty holiday twist.
Ingredients:
  • 2 medium oranges
  • 1 pound fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1.25 cups water, or as needed to cover
Instructions:
  • Zest oranges and then squeeze out the juice, keeping the juice aside for later.
  • In a saucepan, mix cranberries, sugar, and orange zest. Add water, cover, and bring to a boil. Simmer until cranberries burst, for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Lower the heat and gently incorporate the orange juice. Let it simmer for approximately 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together perfectly.
  • Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature for 20 minutes, then refrigerate until set, for at least 1 hour.
