Spiced Orange Cranberry Sauce

Vibrant Jamaican-inspired cranberry sauce recipe with cinnamon and a unique, thick consistency. Perfect for Thanksgiving or any special occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 pint orange juice
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups water
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, combine cranberries, grated orange rind, cinnamon, orange juice, brown sugar, and enough water to cover the cranberries. Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower heat and simmer for about 1 hour until sauce thickens. Adjust sweetness with more sugar if needed and continue cooking for desired consistency. Cool slightly and refrigerate in a covered container.
