Oreo™ Cookie Truffle Chex™ Party Mix

Festive holiday snack mix with Rice Chex™ cereal coated in vanilla almond bark and crushed cookies, mixed with more cookies and chocolate candies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (8 oz) miniature Oreo chocolate creme sandwich cookies
  • 6 cups Rice Chex™ or Corn Chex™ cereal
  • 12 oz vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark)
  • 1/2 cup holiday-colored candy-coated chocolate candies
Instructions:
  • Cover a large rimmed cookie sheet with waxed paper. Place 1 1/2 cups of cookies in a large resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and crush the cookies with a rolling pin, making sure to scrape any excess from the bag using a spatula.
  • Start by adding the cereal to a large bowl. Then, melt the candy coating in a medium microwavable bowl on High for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until it's melted and smooth. Add 3/4 cup of crushed cookies, stir, and pour the mixture onto the cereal. Mix until the cereal is well coated.
  • Spread the mixture on a cookie sheet, ensuring pieces are separated slightly. Sprinkle with the rest of the crushed cookies and place in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes until set.
  • Gently crumble cereal mixture into bite-sized pieces. Combine the cereal pieces, chocolate candies, and remaining whole cookies in a large serving bowl.
