Irresistible Oreo rum balls, perfect for gifting during the holidays. For a non-alcoholic version, swap rum with orange juice.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares semisweet baking chocolate
  • 2 cups crushed chocolate wafers (such as Oreo®), filling discarded
  • 0.25 cup corn syrup
  • 0.25 cup dark rum
  • 0.25 cup chocolate sprinkles, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Microwave chocolate in a safe bowl for 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until nearly melted (1 to 3 minutes). Combine crushed wafers, corn syrup, and rum with melted chocolate until smooth.
  • Chill in the refrigerator until firm, approximately for 1 hour before handling.
  • Form the mixture into 24 evenly sized balls and gently coat them with chocolate sprinkles. Transfer the coated balls to a sealed container and chill in the refrigerator for 2 days to enhance the flavors.
