Timeless Toll House cookies - a classic American delight for any moment.
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (such as Nestlé Toll House)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
  • - Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Cream together butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture. Fold in chocolate morsels and nuts.
  • Spoon rounded tablespoons of the mixture onto baking sheets without greasing.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until beautifully golden brown, about 9 to 11 minutes, switching racks halfway through for even baking.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
