Slow-cooked brisket in a rich barbecue sauce for a flavorful and tender result.
Ingredients:
  • 4 pounds beef brisket
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup water
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).
  • Season both sides of the brisket generously with a savory blend of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Transfer the seasoned brisket to a spacious, lidded roasting pan.
  • Roast uncovered at 325 degrees F (160 degrees C), allowing 1 hour per pound.
  • During the final hour of cooking, delicately extract the brisket and proceed to slice it into thin pieces. Then, carefully place the slices back into the pan and pour the barbecue sauce mixed with water over the meat, ensuring that every slice is perfectly coated. Cover the meat with the sauce, cover the pan, and let it cook for an additional hour.
