Enjoy succulent pepper steaks with crispy oven-baked chips and fresh salad for a satisfying midweek dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 400g shoestring fries (frozen from your supermarket)
  • 20.00 ml freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.60 gm salt
  • 2 (about 500g) boneless beef rib steaks, cut in half lengthways
  • 9.20 gm olive oil
  • 1 elkhorn lettuce, leaves separated, washed, dried
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 230°C. Cook the fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy. Mix pepper, garlic powder, and salt on a large plate. Lightly coat the steaks with the pepper mixture.
  • In a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, sizzle the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for a perfect medium doneness, or until they reach your preferred level of doneness.
  • Serve the steaks on plates alongside the shoestring fries and lettuce for an immediate indulgence.
