Oven-baked baby back ribs: Dry rub, barbeque glaze. Tender, flavorful ribs without grilling.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup ancho chile powder
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground dried chipotle pepper
  • 1 rack baby back pork ribs
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce
Instructions:
  • Prepare your ingredients and preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  • Combine ancho chile powder, white sugar, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cumin, dry mustard, cayenne, and chipotle pepper in a small bowl, mixing until well combined.
  • Lay the rib rack meat-side down on sturdy aluminum foil. Poke the back of the rack with a knife a few times. Season generously with dry rub on all sides. Save any extra dry rub in a sealed container for later.
  • Place the meat facing down on the foil and tightly seal it. Then, transfer it to a sheet pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until perfectly tender and cooked through for about 2 hours. Let it rest and cool for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Unwrap the foil and carefully remove any excess juices and fat. Evenly coat the entire rack with tangy barbeque sauce.
  • Place the rack in the oven with the meat facing up. Bake for 10 minutes with the foil open. Brush the meat side with barbeque sauce. Repeat this process 4 more times, baking for a total of 50 minutes.
  • Slice the rack into single rib portions and drizzle with extra barbeque sauce before serving.
