Oven-baked brown rice: Fluffy and tender without tying up your stove top.
Ingredients:
  • 4.6666665077209 cups water
  • 3 cups uncooked brown rice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a covered saucepan, bring water and olive oil to a boil, then stir in salt. Place rice in a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the hot water mixture over it. Cover the baking dish tightly with a double layer of aluminum foil.
  • Cook until all liquid is absorbed, approximately 1 hour in the preheated oven.
  • Take the rice out of the oven, uncover it, and gently fluff it with a fork. Rest a layer of paper towels over the rice until the steam is absorbed, approximately 5 minutes. Remove the paper towels and let it cool slightly for another 5 minutes.
