Crispy oven-roasted chickpeas seasoned with spices and olive oil, perfect for snacking with a refreshing beverage.
Ingredients:
  • 3 (15 ounce) cans chickpeas, drained
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt, divided, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, toss together chickpeas, olive oil, 2 teaspoons salt, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, black pepper, and cumin until well mixed. Spread the mixture evenly onto 2 baking sheets.
  • Place the chickpeas in the center of the preheated oven and bake, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes, until they turn golden and appear dry on the outside, for about 45 minutes. Once done, take them out of the oven and sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt. Allow them to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
