Overnight eggnog French toast casserole: a festive, convenient brunch or leftover eggnog delight!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups prepared eggnog
Instructions:
  • Collect all the ingredients and lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with grease.
  • In a small saucepan, melt brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat and pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • Lay bread slices over the sweet brown sugar mixture.
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs and eggnog and pour over bread slices. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and take out the baking dish from the refrigerator.
  • Bake the covered dish in the preheated oven until the custard sets, approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Then, raise the oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C), uncover the dish, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the top turns golden brown.
