Effortlessly create delicious bread by letting a simple dough rise for 12 hours and then baking it in a slow cooker with minimal kneading.
Ingredients:
  • 3.5 cups bread flour
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon fine salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon quick-rise yeast
  • 2 tablespoons bread flour
Instructions:
  • Combine 3 1/2 cups of flour, water, salt, and yeast in a large glass or ceramic bowl, mixing by hand until just combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it on a thick kitchen towel on the counter. Allow it to sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
  • On a clean work surface, dust with 2 tablespoons of flour. Transfer the sticky dough from the bowl onto the surface. Knead the dough by stretching and folding it several times, incorporating some flour. Form the dough into a round loaf shape.
  • Line the slow cooker with parchment paper, allowing some to hang over the sides. Add the dough in the center, trim any excess parchment paper. Cover with double-layered paper towels and secure the lid.
  • Cook on High without disturbing for 2 hours. Then transfer bread to a cooling rack and let it cool completely before slicing.
