Maryland crab cakes with a crispy almond flour breading.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1.5 teaspoons seafood seasoning, such as Old Bay™
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
  • 0.25 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat
  • 0.25 cup almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon minced red bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sliced green onion
  • 0.33333334326744 cup almond flour
Instructions:
  • Combine egg, mayonnaise, seafood seasoning, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, and pepper in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Transfer the crabmeat to a bowl, mix in the mayonnaise gently using your hands. Add almond flour, bell pepper, green onion, and parsley. Shape the mixture into six round cakes.
  • Coat each cake with the remaining 1/3 cup of almond flour, then transfer them to a parchment-lined sheet pan. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before proceeding.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bake crab cakes in a preheated oven until they turn golden brown, for about 15 to 20 minutes.
