"Pan-fried halibut seasoned with herbes de Provence and seafood seasoning for a delicious and quick dinner."
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons dried herbes de Provence
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless halibut fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix together flour, herbes de Provence, seafood seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Divide the halibut into 4 even portions.
  • Warm up the olive oil in a large frying pan over gentle medium-low heat.
  • Coat every halibut piece in beaten egg.
  • Coat each piece evenly in flour mixture, ensuring no excess flour remains.
  • Seamlessly transfer the coated pieces into the sizzling olive oil.
  • Sear the halibut until golden, approximately 5 minutes; flip and continue cooking until the fish is fully cooked and flakes easily, about 2 more minutes.
