Host a delicious pizza party with this effortless and flavorful recipe!
Ingredients:
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 600g beef mince
  • 10.00 gm sweet paprika
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) barbecue sauce
  • 2 (about 220g each) plain bought pizza bases
  • 100g (1 cup) coarsely grated mozzarella
  • 70g thinly sliced pepperoni or spicy salami
  • 25g (1/3 cup) finely grated parmesan
  • Baby rocket leaves, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan, gently sauté the onion in oil over medium-low heat for 10 minutes or until soft. Then, increase the heat to high and add the mince and garlic. Use a wooden spoon to cook and break up the lumps for 10 minutes until the mince changes color.
  • Sprinkle in paprika and cayenne pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Mix in 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Allow it to cool for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 240°C. Place pizza bases on 2 baking trays. Spread barbecue sauce over the bases, then layer with half of the mozzarella. Add the mince mixture on top, followed by the remaining mozzarella. Arrange salami on top and sprinkle with parmesan before baking.
  • Bake until the crust is crispy and the mozzarella is melted, then garnish with baby arugula.
